Hilton GLBAFF 301 OL Bernard Hilton Robert Weiner February 20, 2016 UMS ID: 00762747 The End of Easy Everything One of the major issues in global affairs today consists of the supply of energy and other minerals and commodities. Michael Klare in â€Å"The End of Easy Everything† argues that the transformation from an effortless to a more resilient resource period will be expensive. Looking at the state of the supply of energy oil and natural gas today, I tend to agree with the findings as presented by Michael Klare. Klare explores contentious issues in which easily obtained supplies are terminating. Particularly, companies that deal in such resources must turn to the more difficult methods to extract sources of oil, natural gas, and various minerals. This has led to controversial methods such as deep-water oil wells, hydrofracking for natural gas and other energy sources. Also, the acid fracking for copper: which some environmentalists maintain that these methods cause environmental damage and should not be permitted. Klare argues that discovery of a natural resource, for instance, oil, result to producers seeking and exploiting the most desirable, best quality and those closest to markets. Over time, these resources become scarce, of poorer quality, harder to extract and extend into the further away area from the market hence need for discovery of other means of obtaining the resource.
